Old Fashioned Pancakes

AHHHH…..Pancakes, one of our absolutely most favorite breakfast foods!

This is one of the only foods that everyone in our family likes. Warm pancakes, melted butter, and syrup, honey, or even peanut butter. Comfort food!

The kids and I decided to start our weekend early today (Friday) with pancakes. This is definitly a family favorite so I want to make sure I add it to our Family Favorite Recipes here on the blog.

Here goes…

You will need –

1 & 1/2 cups of all purpose flour

1  & 1/4 cups of milk

1  tbsp of baking powder (aluminum free is best, this is what I use)

1/2 tsp salt

1 tbsp sugar

3 tbsp salted butter (melted)

1 medium to large egg

Medium size bowl

Instructions –

Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar together in a medium sized bowl.

Gease your skillet. I put a pat of butter in my skillet. After the skillet has heated up (medium heat), I then use a 1/4 cup scoop to scoop the batter out of the bowl into the hot pan.

Cook for a few minutes, usually until you see bubble or holes forming on the top of pancake, then flip and cook for a few more minutes.

If your kids come in to help, you may end up with a rainbow of pancakes….
